On Wednesday I went to the cross country with my frends and when we finshed the race my legs felt like jelly. Then I went with my frend Molly and Ivye and we got take and then we got soshey.

               Cross Country

Yesterday it was cross country. We had it at the Matthews property. It took a little bit to get there. When we got there it was spitting with rain. When we got there we had morning tea and then we walked the track. It was us year 3 and 4 to walk the track and we noticed that our cones changed from yellow to red.
When it was my race time Mrs Spence called the Year 4s up and then we walked to the start line. We did some warm ups and then Mr Milne said, “ready set bang!” We all pushed off and ran so fast. We jumped hay bales and jogged up the hill, then sprinted down the hill. Then it came to an even bigger hill and my shoes were so grippy on that steep hill that I got to the top of that hill very quick! I ran to the next hill after that, it was steep.
I ran around a ditch, then I ran down a steep hill. I collapsed into a hole that had some sticks in it. Fortunately I was ok and started to run again and then passed Aliy and May and then I found myself running to the finish line. There was a lot of mud at the end and I nearly slipped over. I sprinted to the end where the pickets were.
At the finish line I got a big hug from my mum, dad and nan then I went to watch my cousin do her race that was to the top of the hill and she came 5th and she nearly fainted. At the end I got a sausage. Yay!!! That was the end of the cross country.
